All in-person classes before 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Kent State main campus will not meet in person due to icy conditions, according to an email from the university.
The announcement follows an early morning winter weather advisory for Portage County from the National Weather Service.
Freezing rain in the area will cause dangerous ice until 10 a.m. Students should take caution before traveling and slow down on their commute to campus.
While classes are not canceled, instructors will have the option to meet online. Ashtabula and Trumbull campuses are closed until noon.
