Akron elementary school, Forest Hill CLC, is on exterior lockdown after the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were seen patrolling nearby. 

Akron Public Schools said there has been no ICE activity inside any Akron schools Tuesday.

The Akron Education Association said there was “something going on in the community,” and that’s all they know.

Homeland Security Investigations Detroit oversees both Ohio and Michigan and confirmed in a social media post that arrests have occurred in both states.

“[HSI Detroit and ERO Detroit] are working to apprehend immigration violators in Michigan and Ohio,” the post stated.
