This past Saturday, October 12, Portage APL and residents gathered with their furry friends to participate in the APL’s Barktober, a 5K run or one-mile walk. In addition to the races, there were costume contests for both dogs and their owners, along with raffle baskets and pet lover themed apparel from the shelter. All proceeds generated from the fall themed festivities will go towards medical procedures for the APL.
