Field hockey team still ranked at No. 23

On Tuesday, Aug 31, Kent State field hockey played OSU at Murphy-Mellis Stadium.

A win against No. 25 Maine kept Kent State’s field hockey team at No. 23 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

After losing to No. 5 Northwestern 6-1 Friday, the Flashes bounced back with a double-overtime 4-3 victory against Maine.

It is the second straight week KSU had been ranked 23rd. The Flashes will host Ohio University on Friday for their first Mid-American Conference opponent of the season.
