Students can participate in the Flash Activities Board’s (FAB) grocery bingo event Thursday, giving them an opportunity to save some money.
All prizes will be food related, including ramen noodles, mac and cheese, pudding, juice boxes and Celsius. There will be 8 rounds of bingo allowing for multiple winners.
Buying groceries is an essential need for a majority of Kent State students, said Ana Hasselbusch, the planner for the event, and due to rising prices, it can be hard for students to afford eating a balanced meal.
“Students should attend because the prizes are something students might enjoy,” Hasselbusch said.
FAB hosts at least one grocery bingo event a semester on Kent’s campus, she said, and since students returned to campus recently, she felt the event has good timing.
The event is limited to the first 200 students, Hasselbusch said, so students should show up early to secure their spot.
“I hope we are at full capacity because we were last semester, and I think the prizes are things students will be interested in,” she said.
Grocery Bingo will be held Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kent State Student Center Market, room 218.
